How to book your Wedding Cake

Organising a wedding can be a minefield, so whether you are taking control yourselves or peacefully handing it over to a professional wedding planner, the wedding cake is a personal touch to the day that will require your input and vision.  Your wedding cake is a centre piece of the celebrations and will provide great photo opportunities and memories.

Firstly, make contact and I will check my availability for your day.  As I work alone I only commission a certain amount of cakes per week.

You may wish to purchase a selection pack collected from my home to take away and share with the family  (or postal service is available) - see flavours page

We will then discuss design, size requirements and a budget you may be working towards.  For more complex bespoke designs a consultation at my home overlooking our picturesque duck pond may be necessary.  Please note I no longer offer face to face consultations for semi naked cakes.

A non-refundable booking fee of £100 is required to secure your date.  Please take a moment to read the Full Terms and Conditions below before proceeding.

Your balance will then be due 1 month before your wedding date.

Your Design & Consultation

Once you are all booked in, we will arrange a date & time to suit us both for cakes that require that little bit extra with a design led process.   I like to meet my clients face to face and hear all about you and your big day.  At my home we can play about with different sizes and come up with something unique and special that reflects your personality and theme of your wedding day.

It is a good idea to come as a couple and bring along any inspiration photos of cakes you have seen, your floral choices and colour swatches of your bridesmaids or groom's tie/cravat.  If you have your dress design too (this can be secretly sent in advance).  I will then sketch up some designs while we chat over coffee (mine's a cappuccino) and you will receive a copy to take home with an amended quotation to follow.

This is also an opportunity to discuss optional wedding favours such as personalised biscuits and macarons.

I have a selection of cake stands available for hire too.
