Frequently asked questions

Q: When do we need to book our wedding cake?

A: Ideally 12-18 months in advance or as soon as you have booked your wedding venue.  Even if you are not sure what you would like exactly, book with your favourite cake maker as soon as possible.

Q: Can we try your cakes before making a commitment?

A; Yes absolutely - in fact this is a must in my opinion.  Purchasing a wedding cake is a big investment and you need to be sure your centre piece not only looks amazing but tastes out of this world too.  Sample boxes can be purchased anytime - click here to find out how.

Q: Can we have more than one flavour per tier?

A: Yes you most definitely can, in fact I encourage this so as to enhance your guests tasting experience.

Q: Do you deliver and what area do you cover?

A: All wedding cakes are delivered on the day by myself.  Depending on the size and style of the cake will depend how much set up time is required.  I will liaise with your venue/wedding co-ordinator to discuss the best time for delivery and agreed placement of the cake.  The last thing you want to be worrying about is how to get the cake to the venue safely.  I deliver to Gloucestershire and its borders (subject to delivery costs).

Q: Do you cater for allergies?

A: I can offer a variety of allergy/food intolerance cakes such as gluten and dairy free, but please note I am not an allergy free kitchen and regularly use gluten, dairy, eggs and nuts in my cakes and therefore may not be suitable for serious allergy sufferers.

Q: How do i choose a design?

A: Things to think about are budget, the theme and overall style of your wedding, the venue you have chosen and if you want an intimate cake or show stopper!  Take inspiration from magazines and the internet - Pinterest is great place to start.  Bring along colour swatches, stationery motifs and your floral choices to your consultation to get some creative continuity going.
